Hi My name is Tim and i have an european Eagle owl (ollie) I found heart lungs and intestines in his Aviary tonight and on further searching found a half eaten rat. We have had the rat man around today and the surrounding area has been baited with Difenacoum.

How long would he take to digest it as he seems well at the moument?
How can Vitamin K1 be given to an owl and are there and problems if has hasent digested posion in giving it to him.
Will Monday when my vets open be too late for him?

I have googled many pages and no straight facts coming forward but have found this forum.

Thanks Tim

We are probably not the right forum for you to come to. We do not handle issues with pet owls. There are a number of forums in the UK that can help you.

Like I said before, we don't get involved pet owls. You would have to look in the UK for help.
